GABORONE REGIONAL CAMPUS

We are delighted to have you on board. My name is Ms. Joyce Sengate, the Acting Regional Director. Our campus is located at Plot 4742, Machel Drive, Fairgrounds, with a catchment area that covers the southern regions of Gaborone, including Ramotswa to Ramatlabama, and extends southwest to areas like Jwaneng, Kanye, Moshupa, and surrounding districts. We also serve Kweneng and Kgatleng Districts.

At Gaborone Regional Campus, we offer a broad range of tertiary programs and courses delivered through open and distance e learning—an approach that is uniquely tailored to the needs of Botswana Open University students. Our dedicated support staff and tutors are always available to assist you, whether in person at the campus or via online platforms.

In addition to our regional activities, the Campus also hosts other key University Departments, including the School of Science and Technology and the Centre for Open Schooling, expanding the range of services and learning opportunities available. Our region is recognized for pioneering innovative programs within the university, and we take pride in providing exceptional customer service. Our goal is to offer all our students and stakeholders an outstanding experience and foster a strong sense of belonging. STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Our mission is to equip our students with the skills they need to pursue their academic and professional aspirations in a campus environment that is hospitable and quality focused, aligning with the evolving demands of the global market.

We strive to provide an exceptional experience for both students and part-time tutors by:

  • Building strong connections between students, tutors, and key university departments, including Schools, e-Learning support, Student Affairs and Welfare, and the Library.

  • Counselling Services: Guidance provided for academic decision-making before registration and support for psycho-social concerns.
